About Me

Welcome!

My name is Amanda Williams and I currently work as an Intervention Specialist in Cincinnati Public Schools. I have a bachelor's degree in special education from the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in education- applied behavior analysis from Arizona State University. I am licensed to teach students in grades K-12 with both mild-moderate disabilities and moderate-intense disabilities. I am highly qualified in English/Language Arts.

For as long as I can remember, my life has been centered around helping people. I have volunteered and worked with kids who have a variety of disabilities and abilities since I was in elementary school, and have enjoyed every second of it.
My wide range of work and volunteering experiences has given me a deep understanding of the complexity that is involved with teaching each individual student in the special education field. I am confident that my background in the field has made me a great teacher. I strive everyday to be an advocate for my students.
I sincerely thank you for taking the time to browse my portfolio!

I was hired to teach in Cincinnati Public Schools while I was finishing up my bachelor's degree. During my first year with the district, I provided math intervention to children in grades K-2. My second year working as an intervention specialist has been spent teaching kindergarten-forth grade students in a self-contained multiple disability unit.

I have volunteered with organizations such as the Special Olympics of Hamilton County, The Make A Wish Foundation, Serve Beyond Cincinnati, Zoo Mates, the University of Cincinnati's Transition and Access Program, Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship, Diocesan Catholic Children's Home, and with the Down Syndrome Association of Cincinnati.
